Backing up e-books from iPad to iMac

Hi! I use different apps: Stanza, Kobo, GoogleBooks, Kindle and iBooks, of course. How do I back it up to PC? "Transfer purchases" only syncs iBooks, and it does not deal with Stanza etc. Hundreds of books I've got for free from Stanza are not free any more. I'd hate to loose them. So, how do I get actual e-books FILES from iPad to my iMac?
Thank you

I don't know about kindle or kobo, but for stanza, the next time you connect the ipad, go to its apps tab in itunes and scroll down, and click Stanza. You can copy files out of the ipad the same way you can drag them into that section. I just keep a folder handy and if I do a direct download, I drag the file out to copy it to the mac.
