Getting a error msg oxe8000003

Well I downloaded the new itunes(most current version)and went to plug my ipod in to update my new songs and when I plug it in I get a msg saying " itunes cannot connect this ipod because of a unknown error (oxe8000003)" What does this mean? I am leaving tomorrow out of state and it would be really great if I had all my new songs on my ipod!
