Copy an event from a subscribed calendar.

Copy an event from a subscribed calendar.

I have a number of subscribed calendars (sporting events, holidays, etc.). I usually leave these disabled, as they clutter up my default view which is set to "Month".

What I would like to do is copy and paste individual events to my own calendar that I might be attending. Or, drag this event information to mail or other document.

Unfortunately, this option is not allowed for subscribed calendars. Possibly I am missing something?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Works for me with the subscriptions that I use.

Unfortunately, this option is not allowed for subscribed calendars.

Could your elaborate how you came to that conclusion? I used keyboard shortcuts, and menu commands to effect a copy/paste.

Or, drag this event information to mail or other document.

I have determined that dragging will not work.

Tried menus, shortcuts, the works. No luck.

This is a public, shared calendar.

Thanks for the link. Your observations are repeatable on my computer.

I am not sure why that calendar will not allow copy/paste.

Perhaps it has something to do with the sharing settings set by the publisher.

Tried it with a couple of different calendars. Still no luck!

Any other ideas?

After copying the event you need to make sure you then select the new calendar on the left hand pane before pasting...Could that be the problem. I had the same kind of thing and needed to make sure I'm not still in the subscribed to calendar when trying to paste my copied item.
