Q: Custom Signature

I've regularly seen "custom" signatures by some of the regulars - handwriting, bouncing smileys, moving tiger, etc - and decided I'd like to have one. So, I designed one yesterday and, as a test, added it to a post. When I checked about 20 minutes later, it had disappeared; instead, it is showing a large grey lock:

So, is it permitted to have a signature or not? Mine was my name in a fancy multi-colored font with shadow. Or is there a minimum age/points/whatever required?

Absolutely no need to "plead" - everyone's been aware of it

I am not going to quote that sig so as not to inflame the anti-sig camp further - holy .... just a tad flashy? Seriously, the only way something like that might work is if it were small and as smooth as writing with a pen? Most likely not doable....

+I hope all is ok with you?+

Yes, thank you so much for asking - I'm just extraordinarily busy with a bunch of stuff right now.

It's very doable as long as I can add some fonts to my Photoshop. I'll try adding a more script style font so as to mimic written signature. I think it might be very nice Barbara. I'll try to get the size of the font right and align the frames of the gif so as to not be jittery. I use to be able to do it with my gif app but haven't used it in so long...

It's a free little website found HERE. It's fun to use for emails and the like to create your own headline stories

That's great Barbara. I'm glad you liked it...it's fun to use for those special occasions

Here's a script font that I just installed in my Photoshop called Brush Script font. Let me know if you like it and I'll play around with making a gif out of it if you like it for the font:

Also, let me know if there is any particular color you would like it in and if you would like it with more shadow or more or less bold etc. and larger or smaller size. Anything you can think that you might like better about it if you like it that much or if I should find another script font.

Oh, that's funny - if you look at my button with the "B" on it, it is exactly the same font...

And, since you asked, how about a very quiet dark blue, a tad smaller (not sure about that), maybe a little shadow to the lower or upper left, possibly accompanied by some good food and a glass of wine just kidding...

When I finish with it I'm going to hold you to that

It's late and I probably won't get to it till this weekend but I will post back something that I hope you'll like.

Now that you mention that "B" in your button font I realized that it does look like Brush Script. I wanted to install a more elegant font but I couldn't find one that would install in my old version of Photoshop. I'll try looking some more and maybe post a couple for your approval

Fonts have always been a problem for me - I've got 150 or whatever and can never find one I like; I've looked through available fonts online and haven't come up with "the" font there either. I do like Zapfino, but not all of the letters and it's a little difficult to use because of the different sizes. I'm always looking for something cool because I design all my own cards, artwork, etc. (and I'm not talking about using clip art - these are made from scratch).
