There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (undefined)

Attempting to purchase and download from App Store off and on over the last several hours. Have checked account details, rebooted twice, closed store and reopened several times. Running 10.6.6 and have even verified details in iTunes to ensure that is not the issue. Also verified Time Zone settings per Apple Support suggestions.

I continue to see the same error each time: There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (undefined)

Anyone else have/solved this problem?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

I had "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)". Once I signed out of the App Store and the iTunes store and signed in again, everything was okay. I suspect for me the problem had something to do with recently changing the email address associated with my account. It seemed like I was still signed in under an old email address.

It seems the link to certain "featured" apps are broken.

I was looking for Ommwriter, I clicked from the full app description page and got an "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (undefined)"

I went to Productivity in categories. looked for my app there and it works.

To be short don't buy from the full page. buy it from the small boxes in categories

I'm not sure if this is what fixed it, but I went in an changed my iTunes payment preference to pay by paypal. Last night my credit card had been declined because my bank doesn't authorized large transactions from iTunes in the middle of the night (don't they know when I am most likely to be messing around on the computer?). I read in another post that changing the credit card helped. So I guess changing to paypal helps too.

I finally got this to work as well. Apparently it definitely matters which link you hit in the store to get a successful download. The app I wanted happened to work under the "top charts" link, then in the listing on the right hand side of the page. The app store is obviously still very buggy and not flushed out yet. If you "hold it like this," then it works.

I am having this problem too. I've updated software, nothing is working.

HELP User uploaded file This is extremely frustrating Apple, fix your programs.

Ok Finally got it to work by signing out of iTunes quitting then signing out of MAS quitting reopening signing in again searching and hitting buy on the little icon.

Regardless, it is still extremely annoying and Apple needs to take care of this glitch pronto.

I tried this approach going through categories to no success (German Store says: "Ihre Anfrage konnte nicht abgeschlossen werden. Im App Store ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Bitte versuchen Sie es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erneut. (undefined)").

Amazingly I tried purchasing OmmWriter, as well. Maybe it's out of stock? 😉
Amazingly also, this problem only has surfaced within the last two days...

Hello-ho Apple, the fanboys wanna buy but can't!
