Feb 21, 2011 2:36 PM in response to dggolden2by mcgeek2,I've never had a single problem loading content I got from Amazon or emusic (or from my own CD's) onto 2 different iPod classics, an older iPod Touch and an iPod Photo. It's possible that the new Touch and/or iPhone software makes that impossible now, I don't know. But given the way Apple has made the iTunes store incompatible to even their own customers who want to use an older and more stable iTunes version, I wouldn't be surprised that they are blocking music from other sites now too. It's exactly how companies who have lost their customer focus act, and we can probably look forward to a lot more of it in the future. -

Feb 26, 2011 8:50 PM in response to D_LAW12by momtopj,What do you do if you can't update? My computer says the older version of bonjour cannot be removed and won't update iTunes because of it. Any suggestions? -
Feb 26, 2011 9:09 PM in response to momtopjby amandasearcy,You'll need to completely uninstall iTunes from your computer. On a Window's computer with the iTunes download there's a few other components that help iTunes function. Sometimes it's one of these are corrupted causing an issue.
*Steps on uninstalling iTunes for Windows XP*: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925
(keep in mind, if you have Windows XP Service Pack 2, the latest version of iTunes 10 will not download onto the computer as it is not compatible.)
*Steps on uninstalling iTunes for WIndows Vista and Windows 7*: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
One the uninstall is complete restart your computer and download the latest version of iTunes at www.apple.com/support
If the issue is happening on a mac, drag iTunes to the Trash and re-download. -

Would uninstalling iTunes delete any music on it or any money that has been placed on the account? -
Apr 5, 2011 11:35 AM in response to D_LAW12by morumoru,problem solved - buy from amazon.com instead.

Apr 25, 2011 1:36 PM in response to D_LAW12by jsb17,It's freaking ridiculous that this is still a problem, and that the only solution is to install the new itunes.

May 10, 2011 6:48 AM in response to jsb17by candimeg,Except that isn't always the solution. Downloading and installing the newest version did not work for me, so that is not the fix for everyone.
