Q: White Itunes Store Page

When I open the iTunes Store, it will begin to open properly. Then, it begins to slow down, and right before it is entirely loaded the entire store will turn white! It doesn't say "unable to connect" or anything of that nature. it's just a white screen. This has never happened before, I don't know what to do. A resolution to this problem is of course greatly appreciated.

Hey guys!  I hope this solution fixes your problem because it fixed mine.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123

I had iTunes for a number of years now, but recently, I wasn't really going to into the iTunes store until a couple of weeks ago.  That's when I noticed the all white iTunes page.  Everything seems to be functional: left side links, search with autocomplete and I could even sign up to my iTunes account.

I wasn't really that bothered about it until I got an iPhone.  Now that I have an iPhone, I need to use iTunes to get podcast since I can't figure out how to subscribe to podcasts on iTunes on the iPhone, so I searched the net and stumbled upon your nine page discussion on this.

    Regards to everyone.

That doesn't work for me. The only program listed under Winsock providers is Bonjour. Any other ideas?

I've just had the same problem and found it to be a conflict with Real Player.  As soon as I uninstalled Real Player, iTunes store loaded immediately.

I wa hoping so much that uninstalling Real Player was my answer, but sadly, no. Thank you so much for caring enough to post, though. The thought is much appreciated and you never know who it WILL help. Thank you!

Actually my problem might not have been Real Player but uninstalling it sorted it out. The real problem beneath Real Player was Speedbit which is a video accelerator that is something Real Player uses.

When I ran autoruns as per the link above I found Speedbit drivers in the winsock providers.  By uninstalling Real Player it got rid of them and iTunes store worked.

I have now reinstalled Real Player and it did not load the Speedbit drivers so it might not be responsible for putting them there even though it got rid of them.  Maybe VLC loaded them when I installed that which is the only other similar application I have on my computer as I did a clean format and install only last week.

I have found out that you can uninstall Speedbit independently by finding the Speedbit folder in program files, clicking on uninstall and rebooting your computer.

I hope this works for you and good Luck.

I had to go to my spyware website & get newest version. I was getting updates, but didn't have the newest version of the program & it ends up that was stopping it. So glad to be rid of problem!

Just in case you haven't tried what I hadn't tried: I went to PC Tools website & found a new version of the program available, upgraded & wallah! Problem finally solved. I hope that helps you.
