Q: White Itunes Store Page

When I open the iTunes Store, it will begin to open properly. Then, it begins to slow down, and right before it is entirely loaded the entire store will turn white! It doesn't say "unable to connect" or anything of that nature. it's just a white screen. This has never happened before, I don't know what to do. A resolution to this problem is of course greatly appreciated.

Same problem here. I try to access the store and all I get is a white screen. From reading many, many, posts I've come to the conclusion that Apple has found a way to force everyone to upgrade to their new version. Why, I really don't know, but it doesn't surprise me. When I first purchased my Ipod Touch I was furious when I could not download all of my music from my computer to my Ipod. Only the music purchased from Itunes! I've read a few post guys, where you think you can buy music from Amazon or wherever and then load it to your Ipod, well I'm sorry to tell you but the last time I tried, it didn't work. Apple is a step ahead of you. There are ways around them though but from the research I've done it can be risky. Do your own research and good luck. Goodbye Apple

I have just updated my itunes to 10.1.2 and my itunes store is now working. To update it open itunes, click help on the top of the screen, and then choose Check For Updates, get the newest version and it should work for you.

I know, right?! I thought it was just a glitch that'd go away too! But I guess we're not that important to them, that they can't just fix it! I access iTunes, and then it's almost done loading and then it just goes white! Only iTunes U loads properly, but I don't want to use that!

I almost completely agree with you. Except with the "So Be It" part. Because I want/need to buy new songs! I don't want to always have to buy CDs!

Like many others I have had the same problem since Wed 16th Feb. I have the current version of iTunes 10.1.2.17 though so it's not the case that upgrading to the latest version solves it.

Can't access iTunes via iPad either. All other internet connectivity from laptop and iPad is ok. Applying the principles of differential diagnosis therefore points to an iTunes store problem. Can access music library ok, but not update any Apps, check for any updates to iTunes itself, or access the store.
There has been a degree of connectivity however as the number of Apps with updates available has steadily been incrementing, but the download page cannot then be accessed. Also the first symptom of the problem on Wednesday was no access to iTunes at all, and a new library folder named simply ' (an apostrophe) had been created. Deleting this restored access to my music library.

I have been having the same problem for 48 hours (at least), as I've only tried to access the store since then. I can access I Tunes U perfectly, but nothing else. I get the homepage for about 2 seconds, then it goes blank. If you are really desperate, you can just click fast. I managed to download one song that way, but it's really frustrating to do it that way. I'm not going to upgrade to the newest version until I know what is going on. Somebody help! :/

Many posters report being able to see the iTunes store homepage momentarily before it goes white, but I don't even get that.

Same problem, but no help here, only everyone complaining about same problem. Can't access the store, I see it flash for a moment and then it is gone. I am afraid I will loose all my purchases if I try to download another version.

Suddenly this evening everything is ok again! No changes to computer or network etc. Wonder if we'll ever know? I've seen disruption to the iTunes store before around the time when Apple released the iOS 3 then 4 as everyone wanted to download it, but never for 5 days - and what would appear to be longer in others' cases. My first suspicion had been that the problem arose on the same day that Apple posted the video performances from the previous night's Brit Awards on the store, but this wouldn't presumably account for the more global problem!

You broke my heart, yyzfan -- for a minute after reading your post I actually thought they had fixed the store for the thousands of us who couldn't use it with iTunes 9.x. But I just went there, and it's still a whited-out blizzard of incompatibility on both of my computers. Oh well, I guess I'll just head back to Amazon.com and eMusic again.
