Run Medal of Honor: Allied Assault using Classic in Mac OS X ?

Greetings!

I recently purchased my PowerBook 17" and tried to install the Medal of Honor game I had from the older Mac OS 9.

I installed classic from the 2nd Mac OS X instalation CD and everything went fine. I created the folder for mac os 9, everything I think it's required.

I start classic, and it loads the OS 9 perfectly.

When I go for the game installer in the CD, it just does nothing! no reaction at all...

Maybe it doesn't work from the CD... right... I copied it to the Mac os 9 folder... tried from there, within the os folder... same thing... no reaction... nothing appears...

What am I missing here?
is it hopeless to put the game working on Mac OS x?

thanks

TurkiSh

According to this <http://www.apple.com/games/articles/2002/06/medalofhonor/> and this <http://www.insidemacgames.com/reviews/view.php?ID=262> MoH:AA plays either in OS X or OS 9. Is there a reason why you insist on using Classic when it will play in OS X?

Your installer CD should launch the OS X version of the installer. If it doesn't, there may be something wrong with the installer CD itself. I suggest that you contact Aspyr.

I further suspect that the OS 9 version will only install under OS 9, not under OS X. A new PowerBook will not boot OS 9, and so you cannot install that.

However, this is just a guess. You really should talk to Aspyr about this. It is, after all, their product.

I know that this game <http://www.aspyr.com/games.php/mac/mohwc/> works just fine under OS X 10.4.x...
