My macbook lag every second on every game, Including the DOCK!?!?!?!

Okay, as I've explained in the previous thread:

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2667172&tstart=1

My lag is very baaaaad, I cant play a game after i start it and play a minute or two, then it comes. **** found the way to my computer. Satan. It lags a second, then its normal speed again, and then lags a second again, that happens until i play around with the grapich, Its best if i put on highest which makes it lags like *** And then reduce it again, or otherwise. And most of the time it doesnt even work to do that. And the DOCK lags too when i have many apps open. It slows down a second, then it speeds up again, then slows down. Its ******* annoying when im playing a game, like if i run on an edge, or towards one, and it slows down or speeds up, im ******* dead. Its so ******* annoying i dont know what the heck i should do.

Thank you.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.6), Snow Leopard

Hey JTH,
Sorry for your woes. Let's see what we can for you.
1. Try to refrain from expletives as they get censored and all those * can leave us wondering what you are saying.
2. For us here on the forums to help you, we need some information about:
a. what model macbook you are using? year, make, model?
b. The capacity of your hard drive and how much available space you have?
c. How much RAM are you running in your MacBook?
d. What games or applications are you running?
e. How many games or applications are you running at one time.

We can help you if you can help us with this information.

2. For us here on the forums to help you, we need some information about:
a. White macbook, 2.26 ghz, 2 gb ram, year, i am not sure, midle 2010 i guess, or early 2010, the edges of it is like, round.
b. 250 gb, and like 100 gb free.
c. 2 gb
d. Any application gets lagged, Minecraft, Counter strike source, Air hockey, i really mean EVERY application. I'm WAY over the system reqs.
e. The mobile broad band application. But there's nothing else. It lags without that app too. Its way much worse if i restart my computer too.

Air hockey, offline, Every game is lagging. The dock lags too, And no, its not safari or that kind of stuff, Its 3d or 2d things, like the dock. and every game. So i dont know on safari.

Open up system profiler and see what type of graphics card is in your computer (it will be under "graphics/displays"). If it is an Intel card then that's your probably your problem.

Have you used Activity Monitor to check for any processes that are taking an unusually large amount of CPU or RAM?

If you have a spare windows disc lying around, try boot camp to see if your performance improves under Windows.

i can bet my life on that its not the game's fault 🙂

And no no, i run the games in mac, not paralells. Games that needs 512 mb ram, or less, lags very much aswell. i really mean every game. it must be something with my mac, because no one else is experiencing this problem, couldnt find it on google.

Need For Speed Carbon requirements states...

MAC System Requirements:

Mac OS X 10.4.9
1.83 GHz CPU Intel Core Duo
512 MB RAM
6 GB hard disk space
Radeon X1600; GeForce 7300 GT
DVD-ROM drive

Both graphics cards state 512M Video RAM and both are designated graphics cards. You are using a 256M Integrated graphics card.

Next time do some research prior to purchasing software that is not rated to run on your system.

Well, I have NVIDIA card. Here's the Grapichs/Display in System Profiler:

Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Type: GPU
Bus: PCI
VRAM (Total): 256 MB

And here's the "Hardware":

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz

---------------------

So i should be fine, shouldnt I?

And if it is like this, why isnt anyone other complaining about this horrifying lag? And how come the lag reduces a lot, to no lag, when i play a bit?

It's like the game needs more ram (memory) to use, like it doesnt got enough, even though i have 500 mb free. It's like i need to play on fullest settings in the game, so it needs to use more ram, and then reduce the settings again, to medium and then play. Its just like it doesnt have enough ram or something.

Forgot to add; Today i noticed that Safari does have this lag aswell. tried when i had the game up. I scrolled up and down a bit, then i noticed that lag.
