installing Logic Studio 9

hi there, i have a problem as i am installing logic studio 9 :
i inserted all the CDs, the install DVD, all the 3 audio, all the 3 jam packs, and now they ask me to insert the CD logic studio additional content, which i did, but it doesn't keep going after that, only i have still the window telling me to insert this cd of additional content but doesn't seem to do anything with it, and there i am stuck after 4hours of installation at 5minutes from the end

what should i do??

Chances are, if you quit the installer, your installation will be complete. Before you quit, look around in finder to see what is installed.

I am having a problem with my logic studio 9 installation. I am upgrading from logic express 8. When I get through all the audio content CDs and Jam pack CDs, I get a "installation unsuccessful" message.

When just beginning the installation process, I get a message that detects I have a version of "final cut pro" that seems to have a conflict with Logic 9 but it let's me proceed with the installation (omitting 2 of the logic features)-can't remember now which they are.

Strangely enough, Logic application is now on my hard drive and I'm able to open up older files that seem to work fine-depsite the error message "installation unsuccessful". So I'm concerned I will face problems going forth. Does anyone know what is causing this? Should I do a clean reinstall on computer and try reinstaling Logic 9 upgrade without the older logic express applications?

hi there, thx for your quick answer : )
well i clicked "cancelled", it then did as if it was gona finish, and then "installation failed" ! : (
i hope there's nothing wrong with my new Logic - how could there be anything wrong it's never been opened!!^- so on the advice of a friend i through in the bin all the files from logic, emptied it, and tomorrow i'll re-do it from the start....!! aarhh

he told me sometimes it happens the thing just crash and you should throw it away then re do all the process from start, doesn't mean that there's something wrong, it "just happens" sometimes!
so me who was dreaming of my week-end exploring & working on my brand new logic 9, well i didn't see it coming that it would take me the whole w-e only to install it!! will take the whole day tomorrow again!^

Slightly older thread, I know - but is there any solution now? Cause I'm having the same problem.

Everything goes fine until I insert the "additional content" disc, then it stops and fails.

Logic 9 works, everything seems to be in its place.

Except for the additional content, of course, which means: no Space Designer impulses for surround and warped spaces. :-(

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi there!! im sorry for the late answer i hope you'll see it, or better that you now solved the problem!

so, actually after calling apple following the problem with the last disc when installing logic pro 9, they told me that actually it was A FAULTY CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as i got it while in school, i tried with one of their CDs, which worked!

i said that to the apple when calling, cause maybe the installation worked with the last CD from my school, but then if i have to re-ainstall it it's theirs! so what do i do??!

so they actually sent me another of this CD.

morality i went mad thinking i was being seriously stupid and i wasnt even close!

she told me also that there had been all a period (the one when i got my logic at the begining 2011) where the Logic sold where somehow faulty , good to know after you've pulled all your hair off of your head!^^^^^
