itunes store briefly flashes on and then gone

Help!
I have been on vacation for two weeks and upon returning, I cannot get into itunes store. The contents of the store briefly flash and within 30 seconds they are gone. Every time I click on movies, TV, podcasts, music, etc...the same thing - a brief flash of the content, and then nothing.
Ideas??

What version of iTunes are you using?? I am having the same problem and have the 9.1.0.79 version.

Good question - I'm not sure where to find the version #, but it is definitely not the newest version. I have been trying to install the newest version of itunes but it is not working. This was the first thing recommended to me by itunes customer service. This problem may have started after trying to install the newest version but not installing correctly - I'm not sure - but I did try to install it right before I left on my vacation and it failed to work. I will keep trying to install, but if anyone has any suggestions about that or other suggestions all together, please send them my way!! ~Autumn~

You can check your version by going to Help > About Itunes. and it will display your version. A lot of people using version 9 seem to be having this problem, myself included. Hopefully apple fixes this problem, because I do not intend to use version 10, because I've found that it has waaaaay too many problems.

I am having the same problem, iTunes store will not load. I am starting to get really frustrated with apple. Last year I downloaded the latest version of iTunes and it corrupted my ipod because it was an older model. I was told apple could not do anything to fix it and had to buy a new ipod. So now I never update when a new version is available and I am still having problems.

This is obviously an Apple/iTunes issue as it seems to be across the board regardless of operating system....do you think anyone from Apple ever reads these boards and will offer a fix?

The solution seems to be to upgrade to the latest version. There are quite a few posts saying that the new version fixes the store problem.

Fixed it

I installed the newest itunes version and now have access to itunes. That problem took up the better part of a day to solve, as I had some real trouble getting the new version to download. But it seems to be working, and I hope to not have any big problems with this version as some people are saying. Thank you all for your support - knowing this my problem was experienced by many people made me feel much better. ~Autumn~
