You guys have pretty much solved all of my mac problems, so I thought I would come here . Being a PC user for 10 years and now switching to Mac, I am having a bit of difficulties.

Anyway, I play a game called RuneScape which is a java powered browser based game. However, this problem persists with all java based games which I have.

Anyway, with Safari and Google Chrome, RuneScape (and any other java applications running through the browser) fail to load. There is a black screen and then Safari and Google Chrome crash.

With Firefox, the game works fine for 10 minutes, and then either crashes or the textures get all weird, and I can barely play. Another problem I have is that when the Java application is open, I cannot switch tabs because it covers the whole screen even if I switch tabs, as shown in the pictures:

I think this is a Java based problem, but I cannot re-install Java through the website since it tells me to Software Update, and there are no updates. I have tried shutting down my system but that didn't work either.

Is there any way to fix these problems? I want to use my java web applications like a normal user but I cannot use them this way .
