iPhone 4 automatically hangs up calls

Hello.
I've had this problem for about a week or so.
My iPhone 4 keeps hanging up when people call me, it rings for about one second
then it automatically takes them to voicemail.

I've tried to restore the iPhone to its original settings, and i've tried updating and changing sim-card.

My operator is Telenor from Norway.

I can also add that there is no problem to make calls out.
i am able to answer the call if i am quick enough, but it hangs up too fast most of the time.

have you tried disabling your voicemail with your provider and re-enabling it?
You may want to give that a try. The provider should be able to assist you in doing so.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 4 not too long ago, solved my problem in no time!

Appareantly i cannot remove my voicemail since my twin-sim sollution requires an active voicemail.. if i remove it and add it again i'd have to pay an establishingfee for my twin-sim..

I've now tried my sim in another phone, and it is the same problem there, so it seems like it is my operator i'll have to deal with.

If you use a regular sim in an iPad, and have a twin sim set up, the iPad will reject the calls. My brother had this exact issue. Use a data-only sim card in your iPad.

The reason I replied to this was that when googling to find clues to this issue, I couldn't find anything. This is the most relevant thread I've found, and it doesn't explain the reason this happens - so I decided to write here. That the thread is old doesn't mean it's not relevant any more.
