EXFAT on 10.5.8

EXFAT on 10.5.8

Ok so i have 2 Mac's one mini and a mackbook pro. the pro is running 10.6.6 and the mini is running 10.5.8 i have an external hard drive in exfat format and i can read and write to it. when i plug it into the mini it will not read it.

I have looked online and cant seem to find a solution. i know there ar ways to partition the drive but i have almost 500gb of info on the drive, aside from buying another harddrive and moving everything to it is there a way i can get 10.5.8 to read exfat with some software or something. looks like exfat just started to be supported by mac's in 10.6.4!

Please Help

Connect it to the MacBook Pro and enable File Sharing from the Sharing pane of System Preferences. Kappy, did you see the 'ppc' in the OP's system information?

Yes, but it wasn't clear that the Mini was a PPC model. Thanks for being quick to bring that to my attention.

Ok here is the other problem i want to use the mini as a media hub and have the hard drive connected to it at all times. if i use file share it has to be hooked up to my macbook. an yes it is a ppc so no go on the upgrade i wish the just left the ppc code in 10.6
