Ipad Disabled, won't connect to itunes, no password option available

Hey, my roommates were screwing around with my iPad and disabled it until it says "iPad is disabled connect to iTunes." when i try to connect it, a notification comes up saying "iTunes cannot connect to the iPad because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter the passcode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes. Unfortunately, there is no option on my iPad to enter in a code. I've tried restarting it, turning it off and on, signing in and out of my iTunes account, etc. but nothing is working. I don't want to have to reset it to default settings and lose everything. Any help?
Thanks

Mac, iOS 4

sounds like they tried to "guess" your passcode and have locked the device with too many wrong entries.
sadly the only resolution is to set the ipad to "restore" mode and the perform a full factory settings restore within iTunes. This will give you the option to disable the passcode upon the next rebuild of your last back-up
