How can I write in Oriya using Oriya font?

How can I write in Oriya using Oriya font?

When I select Oriya font "Oriya Sangam MN" it does change the font but the font still stays in English. But I expect that to change into Oriya language fonts. The same thing happens when I select Kannada or Tamil.

Is there a way through which I can write in regional Indian languages on iPad/iWork?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You need to go to system preference, then keyboard, input sources, then add oriya keyboard. After then go back to pages or text pad use the oriya sangam MN to type in oriya. But there are some yuktakyra font/symbol missing in this version of keyboard. Hope apple add all oriya fonts and symbol in then next version of Sierra.

I believe that the iPad iOS can display those fonts (i.e., unicode characters), e.g., ଓଡ଼ିଆ, but it does not currently have the keyboard type to enter those Unicode characters.

There is an app for some of them:

(It is important to understand that changing fonts does not change the language on any modern computer system. You must change the keyboard layout, and unfortunately it is not possible to add custom layouts to iOS devices yet.)
