How to stop Mathtype messing around with Line Spacing

Hi all,

I am trying to write equations in the text of a pages document, however, whenever I add an equation from Mathtype, even if I resize it to be the same size as the text, it always seems to change the line spacing, making everything look messy. Is there a quick and easy fix without making all of the equations floating?

Any help would be great,

Thanks

Determining the size of the text we write in Pages should need no explanation on my part.

Determining what line spacing we use is done by altering an appropriate "box" in Inspector.

But line spacing in MathType is governed by Full Size. And is independent of Pages.

If you explore "Size" in MathType's Toolbar you will find that there are several options....... Apart from "Other" there are all percentages of Full Size.

I suggest you go back to the symbolic drawing board and experiment with the sort of maths you wish to incorporate in your text. And take it from there........
