Max audio sample rate using SPDIF optical input
Hello,
I am using an Apogee Rosetta 200 AD converter to record analog audio from an external source to my computer using Logic Pro 8. I am using the Toslink optical output of the Rosetta to the mini toslink digital input at the MacBook Pro (OSX 10.6, purchased in Aug 2010). I have read to some extent that the sampling rate limit of this method is 48 kHz, but it was on an outdated forum. I have also read some places that the limitation is actually 96 kHz. Can anyone clarify this for me?
Thanks!
-Melissa
