MacBook Air Dropping Internet Connection...

My wife recently purchased a new MacBook Air running Snow Leopard 10.6.6. We have a WNR854T Netgeer N router. I connects find, but then spontaneously disconnects. If I turn off the router, or computer, it can "find" the Network, but refreshing networks does not work. Any suggestions??

I bought a new 13" MBA for wife as well. It too seems to be getting worse about connecting wirelessly ... have tried ATT router wireless 2701HGB & airport - other macs have no problems, I repaired permissions, also find it impossible to get iTunes to show shared machines, de-authorized , re-authorized to no avail.
I've experimented with many airport settings with no success. After several hours of browsing for a fix I find it very unsatisfactory. All other macs have solid connectivity and are able to share iTunes ?
