Run is grayed out and unavailable - Xcode (C++)

Hi

I just installed Xcode, everything ok

I created my first C++ Project/File

The problem that I have is "run" is grayed out and obviously cannot be pressed. Build and run is also grayed out, although I can build the project fine without errors.

What is happening? Why is run grayed out? (i.e. not available)

Would extremely appreciate help on this.

Thank you in advance

Pete

The following paragraph was in response to pete's original reply to my answer. He was getting a bunch of compiler errors. After I posted my response, pete changed his reply to say that everything worked.

I created a C++ command-line tool project, clicked the Build and Run button in the project window toolbar, and everything worked fine. Create a new C++ command-line tool project and click the Build and Run button. Do you still get compiler errors?
