Q: FCServer not working
I did a brand new install of Final Cut Server in January. It analyzed 30TBs of footage, ran schedules for new footage, and all seemed to be working fine.
Now, though, it doesn't want to work at all. Schedules and responses no longer work, and I'm forced to manually add new footage as it comes in the door. I'm discovering clips that didn't have any proxy files created during the initial add scans, but when I tell FCSvr to analyze the clips, the system hangs and nothing gets done.
Most frustrating of all is that no FCP projects will add to the server. 99% of the time I get XML read error messages when submitting projects to the server (projects that contain only footage that was added from the final cut server client). When I did get one to add, it failed during the analyzation stage, and then generates error messages when you try to check it out.
Is there some step I missed? Is there maintenance that I'm supposed to be performing that I'm not aware of?
Here's my system:
File Server with 2 RAID arrays, one acting as the Media drive, the other as the proxy drive.
Mac Mini (10.6.6) running Final Cut Server with a mac pro serving as the qmaster cluster.
10 machines that all connect to and browse the media through the fcsvr client.
All pertinent software is up to date.
Thanks for any help at all.
