iTunes WON'T SHOW MY DEVICE INFO!!!!

Hi I have been using many devices with my laptop for 2 years now..same computer and everything. Last night when I go plug in my iPod touch 4th Gen, my itunes won't show any info for it when I click the device (which is the ipod touch)
