If you are wiling to use a third-party app like "PushMail" you can get custom alerts like you desire. Its filtering lets you filter on the "From: ..." header and lets you specify which of its alerts to use for those emails. It has many other features as well, but it does rely on you being able to setup your mail to auto redirect to an account you setup on their domain "...@dopushmail.com".Once I found this app, I was comfortable retiring my old blackberry and keeping my iPhone (way back in 2008/2009).
