iPad wifi connection loss

Recently my iPad is constantly loosing its wifi connection. Ipad sits several feet from the modem. Neither my laptop nor iphone has this problem.
Going to settings and selecting the wifi will cause it to connect, but this usually lasts less than an hour.
I've turned the iPad off, done a reset (home button and sleep/wake button down at same time until the Apple logo appears) but the problem persists.
Any ideas?

I found this from another thread and it worked for the OP.

Try rebooting (unplugging then replugging in) your router. Next I would go into setting and touch the forget this network and then try rejoining it. Next go to:

Sometimes I lose my connection. By unplugging the cable modem and router, then plugging both back in will do the trick.
