I just set up new iphone yesterday - all went great even email and calendar from outlook using exchange onto entourage. the only thing I can't get is contacts. I have office 2004 and was told to get the new office suite to enable the sync - I downloaded office 2011, it doesn't have entourage it has outlook. Should I abandon the office 2011 and get office 2008?

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

You have to put an Outlook as a default program on your pc to make your iPhone recognized by it. At first , follow the instructions in the error message :
Open Microsoft Outlook. Go to Tools > Options, then in the "Other" tab. Check the box next to " Make Outlook the default program for mail , contacts and calendar. Confirm by clicking OK.
Besides,if you are always frustrated what mentioned above. As far as i concerned, you can refer to this article about [How to transfer and backup contacts from iPhone to PC|http://www.softwarebbs.com/wiki/Howto_transfer_and_backup_contacts_from_iPhone_toPC],which included the step-by-step guide about how to keep contact safe.
Hope you have a wonderful time.
