I need the same thing, yet no responses. Any way to encourage the knowledgeable? :-)
doubtful, first of all your probably limited to at&t's media share on the set top box, and that requires Upnp and DNLA and those features are not available on a time capsule.. time capsule only supports nat-pmp and not upnp
for uverse and wanting to play shows either from it or off of it your only hope is a Network Attached Storage device
or a windows machine with windows media center. there are some posts that say twonky can play some music files and photos on a set top box but thats about it
the set top box is a windows ce device, so of couse they want you to use it with other windows devices
the whole setop box dvr industry is geared towards preventing you from taking the shows off their hard disk and putting them on your hard disk, except for maybe TIVO , they let you store stuff or play stuff on a tivo certified N.A.S. and i dont think tivo is available for uverse. i wonder if there are any yahoo forums that are dedicated to physically removing the hard drive out of the Uverse DVR and copying files off of it
Hi Rigor,
Thx for the response! There are a couple of other strategies floated over on a cnet forum:

. . . but the date is 2005. Grass Valley has devices that allegedly capture/convert or transcode, but who knows whether they are compatible with a given settop box.
