Can I safely uninstall Bonjour?

Hi,

I am using the latest iTunes version on a WinVista 32Bit Dell laptop. Bonjour sometimes stops working, Vista then notifies me about a "Computer problem". At Apple I read "Bonjour, also known as zero-configuration networking, enables automatic discovery of computers, devices, and services on IP networks." I am using iTunes with 2 older iPods (mini and nano), i don't use network features or something like that.

Can I safely uninstall Bonjour? It seems that it is totally useless here.

So it won't affect iTunes or the sync process with my iPods in any way?

iTunes works fine without Bonjour, but some functionality is lost:

+iTunes uses Bonjour to find shared music libraries, to find AirPort Express devices for streaming music to, and to find Apple TVs.+

So only uninstall Bonjour if you don't need the services it provides.

I uninstalled Bonjour and now iTunes won't start. The iTunes.exe process shows in Task Manager, but no window. I tried reinstalling Bonjour, and still nothing.

Any hints?
