MacBook Pro keeps dropping WiFi default gateway on Windows 7 Pro

I have to use Windows 7 for most of the work I do on my macbook Pro. I have the 3.2 bootcamp drivers installed, and I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The wireless network frequently drops/hangs. Typically it loses the default gateway, and right clicking and doing a repair fixes it. However, I have to do this 6-10 times a day, and it's very annoying.

I contacted Apple support and they say it's a Windows issues, but none of my other non-mac Windows laptops are having this issue and they are connecting to the same wireless access point.

Does anyone have any suggestions since Apple's tech support can't help with this one? I think it has to be tied to drivers for the Wireless device.

I had this same issue, and it is a Windows problem, I believe it's related to drivers. Try uninstalling any and all wireless drivers, then re-installing and see if you get anywhere.

When I had this problem, I tried and I tried, couldn't fix it. Ended up doing a clean install of Windows, problem solved.

I completely removed all wireless drivers and reinstalled, but the same probablem is still occuring. I really don't want to re-install Windows 7. I have 4 other Windows 7 machines, and I support about 30 other Windows 7 laptops, and this is the only device where I have seen this behavior.

Having exact same issue, I cannot play games in windows 7 because of disconnection issues. Ill play a few games and then the wifi will say limited access. No problems in OS X

You may want to check your OS X connectivity. There are a fairly significant number of us that are having performance problems with the new MBP's and wireless connectivity, typically showing in slower than other systems speeds on the same network, dropped wifi connections, irregular ping times. Not obvious that this is the case unless you are comparing it side by side with another system on the same network (for the speed test). Try pinging your local router from OS X and see if your ping times are erratic. I would be surprised if there was no connection between your Windows networking issues and our issues...

Still having issues - today it won't stay connected for over 5 minutes! This is unusable! Something has to be done to get this working in a stable manner!

In WIndows, I open a DOS window and do a PING -T <router> and it will ping until I stop it.

What do I do in the Mac OS to do a ping?

If this is proven, can Apple replace the Wireless NIC under warranty?

This is insane - every 5 minutes I still have to reconnect. No other laptop of mine has any issues like this - even running Windows 7. This is not a Windows issue - this has got to be a driver or hardware issue, and Apple needs to working on getting this fixed!

I am starting to ask myself why the **** I spent 1000 euros for a machine that is not able to connect to 95% of all the wireless networks I am using. And the best thing is that os x has these wifi related problems for years, so what the **** are the software guys doing the whole day, it cant be that hard to fix something that essential! And if I call them the tell me that its not an osx problem, the routers (which work with android Iphone windows linux ... ) are the problem. I am feeling fooled and start to get angry!!! Somebody with connections to some newspaper news-tv or whats so ever should bring this information out to people that think about getting such a crappy non-working piece of shxx. Maybe then they will stop ignoring this problem - its really ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!

my issue - wireless was fine when I booted up mac osx but when using windows 7 using bootcamp wireless connection dropped frequently.

I ran the fix on the following ms support page to reset the tcp/ip stack
