Airprint seriously disappoints. HP Laserjet 1536dnf doesn't show up!
I have already updated the driver for the Laserjet 1536 (on the list of supported printers) AND updated the firmware -- each of those downloads claimed to make AirPrint work. I've also unplugged the USB cable, reset my iPad, powered the printer off/on a few times, waited & waited....but "No Printers Found" is all I get when trying to print from iPad.
Should I mess with Network Settings on the Printer? TCP/IP? There were no instructions to change any of this! My office building has an open wifi network (linksys). Shouldn't this stuff just work? Can't find anything anywhere to say what to do in this case. I feel like I've been duped into buying the printer. Guy at the store said it doesn't have to be hooked to computer/ethernet to setup connectivity.
What is going on??? I'm sure I'm not the only one.
