Apps icons disappeared

My Apps store and iTunes icons have disappeared, how do I get them back?

Iphone4, iOS 4

Are they restricted? Settings>General>Restrictions(are yours on?)>iTunes & Installing Apps>Off? If you don't have restrictions on, do this: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout...see if you see them now.

The icons you mention are all iPhone "stock apps" which means the icons can't be deleted. Perhaps you accidentally moved them into a folder, or onto another screen?

You should still be able to find them using the "search" feature. Hi the "home" button to exit any app you may be running. Hit it again to return to the first page of apps if you are not already there. Now hit it one more time (or swipe left) to take you to the search screen. Now in the bar at the top, you can type "settings" and you should find your settings app listed near the top. Hit the icon there to launch the settings app.

Well, if you found it in a folder, then you just hold a finger on the icon until is starts to "wiggle" then you can drag it from the folder back to the finder page, then you can drag it from page to page until you get it on the page you want.

If you found it using the search, it is a little more difficult, as you need to locate teh icon to move it around. I would suggest connecting the iPhone to your computer and use iTunes to search the apps pages & folders on each page until you find it, then move it to where you want it there. After doing that, if you "apply" the settings, it should sync the icon setup back to your iPhone for you.

I have an iPhone 4S and my Contacts icon is missing. It is not in a folder. I can pull contacts up through the Phone icon and I can find it when I use the 'search' feature. There are no active restrictions. I've reset the phone using the sleep/wake and home buttons. I've done Settings/General/Reset/Reset Home Screen Layout, too. Alas, still no Contacts icon. Suggestions?
