How do you get more templates for pages

Iworkcommunity.com might have some. You can also do a search on Internet for templates iwork. Best would be to create a template to your liking.

I have read from other posts on how to delete files for new templates that my new ones should go in a folder here: Library/Application Support/iWork/Templates/My Templates

I have put some there, but Pages does not show them in the Template Chooser. Can someone help point me a more correct direction?

Open them from wherever they are stored now and Save them as Templates from within Pages.

I guess that you read wrongly the original messages.

What you describe is what we get if we save the templates in :
macintoh HD/Library/Application Support/iWork/Templates/My Templates

The messages urged you to save them in :
macintosh HD/Users/<yourUserAccount>/Library/Application Support/iWork/Templates/My Templates
