Viewing DVDs From 2010 MBP On Toshiba TV - Type Of Cables?

Hi guys!

In plain, everyday English, what cable do I need to be able to view DVDs from my MBP on a Toshiba plasma that is a couple of years old? Do I need separate audio and video cables OR I am able to purchase a cable that allows audio and video through the single cable? Oh, the TV obviously supports HDMI.

Sorry about the dumbness of the question... I just don't want to spend unnecessary $$$.

I have HDMI input on my TV so I just grab the cable out of the satellite receiver and plug it into the MDP to HDMI dongle I bought no other requirement as MDP and HDMI both carry sound.

Thanks for the tip Chris.

Perhaps I should have added that I'm going to be taking the TV and MBP 'on the road'. You see, I coach basketball, so I need to be able to take the TV and MBP to practice with me, so we can watch game and practice film. As a result, I wont have access to any satellite technology...

Any further help graciously sought!

Hi LOX32, simple hit your apple store and pick up the mini display port adapter for HDMI (about 28.00 or so) plug and play I got mine when I got a MBP and it wors great

Wandered into the Apple store in Perth, got all I needed AND found a really cool Apple remote that will help me with presentations for work and basketball! Btw, is 'Ont' and abbreviation for Ontario?
