how I know my iphone model was real 3GS?

I bought my iphone last a month but *now days I realized that my model was MC131B verson 3.1.3(7E18)* setting on the phone . *my question is , what really does my iphone model is?*
When I bought this iphone the salesman told that was Iphone 3GS.
I'm confuse that when i saw my friends iphone that so many difference tools.
*please I need somebody to tell me what was my iphone model is?*

If you have the Apple Compass App it is a 3Gs. If you don't, it is a 3G.

If it has a compass app and a video camera option in the camera app, it's a 3GS

This would be an iPhone 3Gs with no doubt. If the model is a MC model, it has to be the 3GS. The iPhone 3G was never sold long enough the produce MC models.
