Moving music from ipod nano 6th gen to a new itunes llibrary
I have an ipod nano 6th gen that was originally synced to a laptop which has broken. all the music is gone but is still on my ipod. how can i transfer this music to my new laptop? is there any free/trustworthy programs available or are there settings that i must set my itunes library to? Please help, this will benefit many of my family members.
Sync is meant to be 1 way only, computer > iPod. There is no sanctioned way to move music from iPod > computer.
I would say you should restore your library from the most recent backup of your computer, but I kind of doubt you have one or you wouldn't be asking this.
Open the ipod_control folder then open the music folder. Copy each one of those folders onto your computer. You can do this by creating a new folder on your desktop and dragging the files into the folder.Open itunes and insert the new folder you created on your computer's desktop into: library ---> Music
You can now sync your ipod to this new computer with out losing all of your music.
