UNABLE TO UPDATE APPS ON IPOD TOUCH 3RD GENERATION

I am now suddenly unable to update my apps on my Touch. I can see the updates and go into the update screen. Where the button to download the update was called "Free" in the past it is now called "Update". When I press the blue "Update" button it changes to a green "Install" button. When I press that button it just changes back to the blue "Update" button again. It is going round in circles and not downloading the update. I know that I can update the apps from iTunes on my PC, but doing it on the Touch is just more convenient.

Why do Apple keep changing and then breaking everything that worked fine in the past???

Any ideas how to fix this.

Hi lllaass

I am still and will be staying on 3.1.2. I am not ruining my iPod's battery life and WiFi connection by upgrading to iOS4. No app is worth that!

Normally updates of the apps that now requires a newer version of the iOS will not show up on the Touch.

Reading through the other thread suggested by CeeZeeCZ I can see that this is a common problem these days.

Thanks Apple. Stellar as usual!
