Recently handed my old iphone down to my wife.
When she goes to login to itunes it still shows my old email address.
How can I change this.
TIA, Craig.
She has her own iTunes account with her own iTunes library on a different computer, or she has her own iTunes account along with your iTunes account with the same iTunes library on the same computer?
For the former, she can restore the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone with iTunes on her computer. This will make her iTunes account available on the iPhone after syncing the iPhone with her iTunes library on her computer being logged in to her iTunes account along with removing all iTunes content on the iPhone that was purchased/downloaded with your iTunes account.
If the latter, she needs to be logged in to her iTunes account with iTunes on the computer you share when syncing the iPhone with iTunes. This should make her iTunes account available for the iTunes Store, the App Atore, and the Apple Store.
As of yet she has no itunes account.
I tried three times to set one up but kept getting error on password
that target not found blah blah blah...
I used her hotmail email addy and that password.
Was that wrong?
TIA, Craig.
Without having an iTunes account, it won't happen or change.
This will be with a single iTunes library - co-mingling iTunes content downloaded from more than one iTunes account with the same iTunes library?
Is there a particular reason or motivation for each of you to have your own iTunes account? What do you think this will gain or provide for both of you? Once logged in with an iTunes account, all you need is the password to purchase/download a 3rd party app, app updates, or for anything purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store.
It shouldn't make any difference with the type of email account or email address when creating an iTunes account.
