List of compatible SD cards for Macbook Air

I just got a new Macbook Air and was wondering if there's a list of compatible SD cards. Not a lot of info about it in the manual or apple.com.

iPad 64GB, iPhone 3GS, Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz, 13" Macbook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.6), 2 GBs of ram

This kb article does not specifically mention the MBA, but I'd assume the same specs apply to it as all the other SD equipped apple machines as of April 2010.

Thanks Michael. Strange they don't mention the MacBook Air. Maybe the SD slot is just on the latest models.

I'm guessing, from the date on that kb article, that it just has not been updated because the SD specs for any Apple machines with SD slots has not changed. Probably just not showing up on any kb doc maintainers list of important docs to update, until the SD specs themselves change.

The SD card slot for the Macbook Air is specific to the 13" model only; the 11" model does not have the SD slot. I have the same question as for the compatability of SD cards on this model because judging by the slot size, I've never seen SD cards that big...

As both Macbook Air 2011 and Macbook Air 2010 User guides stated clearly:

2011 version supports SDXC - note backward compatible.

2010 version supports only SD ( i presume it also means SDHC)

2010 version will support SDHC, because I use one. I'm not sure about SDXC on the late 2010 model that I've got.

The Transcend SD JetDrive Cards are specifically made for the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro. When inserted they are flush with the edge so they can stay in all the time and not get in the way. I have a 128GB one and it's a great way to get more hard drive space on the Air!
