iPhone 4 Charging For The First Time

Hello, I am getting my sim free iPhone 4 delivered hopefully tommorow and I would like to know how I should charge it. Shall I drain all the battery that is already on it and then charge it for 16hours or just charge it for 16hours out of the box. Also should I charge it for 16-18hours like other phone shops advise or just take it off charge when it gets full.

The iPhone battery has no memory effect. Charging to full is all that's needed. In fact, charging automatically stops once the battery is full. You cannot overcharge an iPhone. Charge it whenever you like. Read more here:
