Question

Irish language (Gaeilge) on i-phone

Is it possible to add Gaeilge to the languages on the i-phone? If not, i could get by equally well if i could put the síniú fada (the equivalent of the french acute sign) on top of vowels on an as needed basis; is this possible?

i-phone, iOS 4

Id love to see Gaeilge on the iPhone - if Samsung can do it surely Apple can too.... Hopefully they're

interested in listening to their customers - hint hint!!! 😉

If you need, for instance "é", just tap _and hold_ the normal keyboard "e", then select the accented version you require from the pop-up.

You cannot add anything to any iOS device unless you find it in the iTunes app store. But as mentioned by the other responder, making áéíóú is no problem using the keyboards provided by Apple.
