HOW TO CONNECT 300 mbps WITH ROUTER WIFI N?

Hello, good afternoon. First apologize for my bad English. I am contacting you to discuss a possible problem with Snow Leopard and Airport WIFI N.
I recently purchased a WiFi N 300 Mbps router and when I try to sync my macbook or my imac (the latest version of the model) alone with values of 144 mbps in the Link Speed option in the utility network.
My surprise is when I installed Windows 7 on bootcamp to verify the link speed and get 300 mbps.
Been tested with five or six different n wifi routers and the results are the same. In Windows 7 is all right but not in Snow Leopard.
Why still the same hardware, you get different speeds? Where is the error?
I attached a link where is the evidence of the different tests performed with windows 7 and with snow leopard.
Please ask them a possible solution or, if operating system problem Snow Leopard, this error is resolved with future updates.

I do not have an answer to your question, but wanted to let you know that you are not addressing anyone from Apple here. Just so you know - these forums are user-to-user only; so, if another user has any experience in this, they will post a reply. Otherwise, you might want to contact Apple tech support if you are still under warranty.

Which router? really might help to tell us and see what the vendor.

Which sites are you using or is it to=from computer? to internet test site? direct to router? that you see 300Mbps?

The only way to get 100% would be full duplex.

Some routers and networking equipment, and the device's firmware, may work better with one ISP than another or different operating system platform.

The problem is the speed of the macbook airport link to the router (TP-LINK TL-WR841ND). With Snow Leopard syncs at a speed of 144 mbps. Windows 7 with bootcamp synchronized to 300 mbps. When I send a file from my macbook to my imac using n 300 wireless router, only achieved a speed of synchronization between two computers of 144 mbps. If the same test performed with the same computer but using bootcamp windows 7 with the speed reaches 300 mbps.

A problem of drivers?
Thanks for your reply

Could be an issue with what spec the router uses.
My Macbook Pro connected to an Apple Airport Base Station gets 300 mbps.

I don't have enough experience with W7, but I seem to remember most Windows connections reported the theoretical maximum rate and not the actual rate. Did you actually measure the transfer rate, or just look at what was reported?

I have an imac and a macbook connected by wifi to a wifi router N. If I send a file from one computer to another computer in Windows 7 installed on the two computers with bootcamp at a speed much higher. If you send the same file between the same machines but instead of Windows 7, snow leopard, the speed decreases by half.
The configuration of the router is exactly the same in both tests. I've tried several wireless n router always get the same results.

Hello lullabri

Many Apple devices dont connect to a 20MHz wide channel in 2.4GHz range.
Apple devices do connect to a 40MHz wide channel in 5GHz range.

Here's Apple guide on recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points :

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199

And here's an article describing why 40MHz channels are undesirable in 2.4GHz range:

http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-features/31743-bye-bye-40-mhz-m ode-in-24-ghz-part-1

So in short:

Max speed in 2.4GHz is 130-150 Mbps, using 20MHz channel width

To get speeds above 150 Mbps, get a "Dual Band" router, which supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz ranges
