You are in Hawaii, the WiFi is in Hawaii. Even if you could log into the WiFi in California it can't reach around the block let alone Hawaii. It is not granting you access to use the internet, it is granting you access to use their "LOCAL" WiFi to connect to the internet.

Find a free WiFi Cafe or a Starbucks or something for internet connection. Or contact your school to see if they will give you a login for a sister location.

Thanks so there is no way to change the web address that it goes to? I don't "need" their Internet but it would be nice so I'm not using my data thru my carrier.

If you are connected to Wifi you are not using your cellular data when you browse the internet.

If you want to change your page, just go to another page. Safari opens the last page on the iPhone. Just scroll to the top, change the address. The only reason it searches for that page is if you were there last, or you are trying to connect to their wifi.

To make that screen go away, depending on how many screens you have open, top the numbered (boxed) icon on the bottom left and then x-out any open Safari pages.

There is no valid reason why you would be redirected to a WiFi login that your phone does not pick up locally. I go to school part time at LBCC here in Oregon, when there my phone requires the login, when home or Starbucks or anywhere else it does not, and I am just connected via WiFi. Your phone may be in some state of confusion and I would suggest clearing the browsers and doing a RESET of the phone.

I don't wish to assume you don't know how to reset the phone, but in case I will give the instructions below. See if that does not solve the current Hawaii position.

Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time. Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appear. When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.
