Why is my drum track (software inst.) too quiet?

I'm a bit of a beginner. I started a new project, and began laying down a software instrument drum track. At left I have the vertical keyboard whose keys correspond to a particular drum voice (kick, snare, hi hat, etc.,) and when clicked upon, they seem to have sufficient volume. However, once I drop my "blocks" (for lack of a better term) into the timeline (to the right of the vertical keyboard), and play it back, it's wayyy too quiet. I don't understand what's happening.

Thanks for any help-

How are you creating your tracks? If you "paint" the notes with the pencil tool, they have a medium velocity that might be too quiet - use the volume slider in the Editor window to crank them up!

Once your track is laid down, you can of course use the track's volulme slider to get a higher volume, plus the overall volume slider. If the drum track is too soft compared to other tracks, bring the volume of those tracks down and turn the overall volume up.

With all of these measures taken, your track shouldn't be too quiet.
