iTunes movie won't transfer to Ipad

Last year my son bought a movie on ITunes for his IPod touch. We recently bought an IPad and want to put the movie on it. The movie will not drag/transfer to the IPad. Is there a compatibility issue? If so, can the file be converted?

Have you tried syncing the movie like the Users Guide says:
" When iPad is connected to your computer, use the
Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, and iTunes U panes to select which videos to sync."

Is the iPad signed into the same iTunes account that purchased the Video"

I experience a similar problem. NONE of the movies on my iTunes will show up on my iPad. In fact there is no "Movies" folder in the iPad Library.

When I sync my iPhone 4.0 with the same iTunes, the movies get copied to the iPhone and there is a "Videos" choice at the bottom of the screen - from there one sees both "Podcasts" and "Movies". (My iPad shows "Podcasts" but not "Movies".

I have somewhat similar problem; though I have the Movies folder on iPod player on my iPad... But the movies are not visible.

Note, these movies are the same movies I used to have on my iPhone. Same accounts are used. What could have caused this? Anyone??

Short Answer:

What worked for me in recovering sync capability was simply opening Activity Monitor and stopping the iTunesHelper app, which seems to have unlocked the communication problem.
