Hi,
The faders don't move. I played the project, and the volume didn't change.
It happens when I start editing my project, but I can't figure when or how.
If I work for a while, and then check the faders of the tracks they are changed.

In the transport there is no midi coming when I'm not touching the midi controller.

" what exactly changes volume? The project as a whole? Some tracks? And how much? And where or what are you editing? You could provide a bit more detail. "

Only some tracks change the volume. for example; one increased by .3 another by 1.4; etc.
I'm editing in the score editor. ask me if you need more detail.
thanks.

Do you have a Mackie Control and recently moved? This happened to me when there was a mild ground faultish thing going on in my apartment causing the 'touch' to feel operation when there was none. This made the faders to gradually work their way to the middle between max n min every time I banked or edited. OR maybe maybe a recent addition to your system? try unhooking everything but the KB, mouse and speakers to see if its a peripheral or internal issue. just a thought.

i'm having the same issue.
been happening for a couple of weeks now, never had the problem before,
which ever track i have highlighted (whether its audio or midi) decides to jump up at random to to +6 on +4.9 or whatever.
it will happen, as i state by itself. also if i have the track selected (again even on an audio track) and play hard on my midi keyboard it will jump all the way up.
even as i type this i can see logic in the background and it seems to be recieving random midi info from somewhere and an audio track is jumping up and down in volume with the project even playing.

on the midi in info section in the transport bar when this happens i see a message that says

1 7 122
or
1 7 125

or something similar.

dont know what the **** is going on!

It is quite possible to have two tracks with the same channel. Perhaps you have a hidden track with the same channel that does have automation info on it. Look through your complete track mixer to see if any tracks are set to the same channel that you're having the problem with. If so, check the event editor of that second track. There could be automation on it from some previous use. I hope that makes sense. I've had this problem before and found this solution.

I have the same issue. Mine is caused by my Midi Keyboard. There is a volume fader on the keyboard and no matter where I position it, randomly on what ever track I'm on, it changes the volume. Is there is a setting in Logic or anywhere else to have the keyboard stop sending volume infromation to Logic or have Logic not recognize the volume information from the keyboard.

PS. The problem stobs when I unplug the midi keyboard.

Paul Pryor, Dnjimag, I know what is going on, your MIDI keyboards are broken, on channel 1 it's sending volume messages 7 with values of 122 and 125 when you're not telling it to. A few things you can do about that, in order of "bestness": get a new controller that behaves, or cable a transformer in your Environment that filters out volume messages, or set it in the preferences so that all volume messages are filtered out, File>Project Settings>MIDI>Input Filter>Control Changes. This will filter out ALL controls though.

I had the same problem for SO long, until just now. Midi tracks would jump up in Volume at certain points, and I couldn't control.

Found the answer (for my issue, at least) here: http://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71347

Now my remaining question is, how can I PREVENT Volume events from being written in? Cause looking at one midi track's events right now, I'd have to go thru the list and delete about 15 different volume events for the volume to not jump around on me...

I think I have Midi Volume assigned to a fader on my midi keyboard... not to figure out how to unlearn that assignment...
