Is there a generic passcode?
No. If you can't remember your restrictions passcode, you will have to restore your phone as a new device, not from backup, to remove it. All data on your phone will be lost.

Is there a generic passcode?
So, how was this passcode set?
And will I be able to set my own after restoration?
Can someone tell me how to restore my ipod, so I can reset my passcode?? Help!
Connect it to iTunes and select "Restore." When prompted to use a backup, do not - you need to restore as new.
Note that this is the iPhone forum, not iPod. What you need to do may vary depending on which iPod model you have, which you didn't state.
Actually...
Has an app called Backup Extractor. If you folow the instructions, it gives you a prefrences file on your phone from which you can extrapolate your code.
I found that mine was a code I would normally use, I managed to get up to attempt 9 before getting right a few people say that 10 attempts is the limit but all I know is the more you attempt the more time between each try (eg. 3 attempts - 1 minute ,4 attempts - 5 minutes, 6 attempts 10 etc etc). Try and think of a 4 digit number you use for everyday things like pin numbers or birthdays it may be that you orignally put one of those in.
how can you find out your resrictions pass code
If you can't remember it, you can't. It wouldn't be very secure otherwise, would it?
Read Graymaven's post above. It might help.
I was stumped on this one too. I put in my first password for unlocking the iphone, or what I think was my first password. It was the one I set to both my devices when I got my ipad. Nothing great in Restrictions
Actually I'm up to my 54th try and I still haven't got the password right. I don't know if there is even a limit.
Okay but my question is...i cant even reset my ipad. It keeps asking me for a passcode to reset. I am totally willing to wipe my ipad clean. I just can't get it to go! Any ideas?!
