iTunes store won't connect

Yesterday, Feb 16, 2010, I tried to connect to iTunes store and it would load for a few seconds and then go completely blank. So I thought maybe it was time to give into the iTunes prompt and download the new version. 10.1.2 or whatever. Well now I cant connect tot he store at all, receiveing error message 3212--cannot connect to iTunes store unknown error occurred, saying to make sure my network connection is active (as it surely is because I can still access the internet just fine)). I have uninstalled mcafee security center--didnt help. I even tried disabling my windows firewall completely--didnt help. Same message --3212 and all that. What do I do? I use the iTunes store two or three times a day as Im a very big music lover, but I am quickly losing my patients. I have not been able to connect for over 24 hours now. Can someone please help me?

I'm having the same problem today. iTunes Store connects for a second or two, then the iTunes screen goes white. I don't get any error message, though. I thought that, if I updated my iTunes version, it would help. BUT, when I try to update, it takes FOREVER and I end up cancelling the update. I've never had this problem before. My internet connection is great, too.

Can anyone help, please?

I have also been having the same problem but for over a week now! Itunes store comes on for just a second and then disappears and I'm left with a blank screen. I get no error message. I have had itunes for a few years now and this is the first problem that I have had. Any ideas anyone.

i'm having exactly the same issue and have been for over a week now.
The itunes store starts to load but then the screen goes blank and I can't access anything except my account details.
I;m so frustrated, the e-mail support team are no help whatsoever. Each time I contact them, they direct me to the discussion board, and suggest it's my ISP or my computer. The other option provided is to upgrade to version 10 which i don't want to do as I've heard about loads of issue with it.
It isn't my ISP as i can access other internet sites with no problem. I can see from these discussion pages that other people are experiencing the same issue but it seems like Apple aren't willing to do anything about it other than direct us to useless support pages which have no effect. At the end of the day, Apple are losing out as I can't purchase anything but no one seems to care enough about my custom to provide a resolution that doesn't blame my pc, ISP or request that I upgrade my version of itunes. It's obvious from discussions that a lot of other people are having the same problem so I suggest something is definitely wrong with the itunes store Please somebody help us before i give up and start to use another site to download music instead!! I have been having the same problem for over a week now. I thought there was something wrong with my computer because it wouldn't open. I have tried all suggestions listed n the support page to no avail. I have even tried using multiple computers, including my laptop to see if that would help but I still only get to the main screen, where a flash of the homepage appears and then it goes completely blank. I was going to contact Apple but from what I am reading that isn't helping much either.

I am getting so frustrated with this problem. I try several times a day to get into the store. Doesn't apple care that they are losing tons of money and that they're revenue has dropped. there seems to be hundreds of people with the same problem if you check out other sites online. I'm about to give up on them and go elsewhere for music. You would think after a week of this, apple would get the problem fixed.

Hi Apple Care,

I am having the same problem too! The itunes store would load momentarily and then the page becomes blank. I followed the instructions given in the section and I was successfully able to secure webpage (appid login) and my firewall doesn't block connection from apple.

It looks like it is a genuine issue at Apple end.

There are so many frustrated users, Apple Care take the measures quickly and fix it.

I really wish that Limewire wasn't shut down. I am trying to do the "responsible" thing by buying iTunes cards and paying for music ($1.29 per song is ridiculous, by the way!) and it doesn't even work. Funny how the things you don't pay for work better than the things you pay for. The fact that this has been happening since yesterday and is still not fixed is pathetic. I don't expect my post to stay up, because the last time I posted something here in frustration it was promptly deleted. GET THIS FIXED PLEASE!!!!!User uploaded file In the meantime, I shall steal the song I want, because I want it now, not when Apple decides to fix this issue with iTunes.

One more for this issue. Loads then flashes the store then goes blank white screen. REALLY AGGRAVATING!! User uploaded file Even more aggravating is Apple is mute on the subject. At least they could put something out there to tell us its not working so we don't spend frustrated hours trying to fix something that is not our problem.
Ran diagnostics and it says nothing is wrong.

I'm having the same problem! It worked fine until recently. I'll see the music store page for a brief second and then it goes blank! I can't believe Apple support isn't even acknowledging or posting anything about this problem! It seems there are quite a few people experiencing this! C'mon Apple! Give us a freakin clue! Won't update to the latest because other people are saying it doesn't make a difference!

Mine doesnt go blank, it just wont connect. The wierd part is that it shows that I have 4 updates available, but when I try to download them, I can get as far as entering my password, it will start to download them and then the error pops up. Not doing anything different today than yesterday, yet I was able to do whatever I wanted yesterday. ???

I'm having the same problem. Mine doesn't go blank but it wont connect on my iphone 4 or my computer and i know my password is correct. It was working just fine last night and I am addicted to my itunes. this is no good. but luckily i paid for the applecare so i guess im going to try to call them. yay fun.

Well, apparently, they are listening since they deleted my last post and sent me an email saying it violated Apples policies. Main one being "unconstructive rants regarding Apple policies"- fair enuff. How constructive is it to remain silent?

It would be nice to see some one at least acknowledge theres a problem and Apple is working on the issue. Wouldnt that be fair as well?
