Cannot enable WebGL in Safari via WebKitWebGLEnabled

According to http://khronos.org/webgl/wiki/Gettinga_WebGLImplementation it should be possible to enable the 3D-feature via Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitWebGLEnabled -bool YES
That does not work. Is it possible that Safari does N O T come with that feature built in already but that one has to download and install the "nightly built" first? http://nightly.webkit.org/builds/trunk/mac/1

Sure I could just try but I am concerned to install "chrom"components from google with the installation of http://builds.nightly.webkit.org/files/trunk/mac/WebKit-SVN-r78794.dmg
But I prefer to ask first, since google components can be a pain.

Nightly Build should have it on by default. I do not believe that it in the current stable version of Safari. Now that the specification has been ratified. Should be in the next version. I personally can't wait to see if they enable it on the iphone WebGL is a subset of OpenGLES so should be possible if they don't jump on it google will. It is already enabled by default on the current version of chrome:)
