How to solve error code 0 ?

Hi there,

I rendered 15min video & the mov file is 9.5 GB.

I tried to save this 9.5GB file into a thumbdrive (my thumbdrive is 32 GB) but I received the following error:

"The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0)"

I noticed this happened whenever I tried to copy big files into a thumbdrive. But my thimbdrive has so much space left, why can't the files be copied into it ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I think i better buy a new thumdrive bcos if i reformat it evrything will be gone.

Before can i ask whether the other person i am giving the thumbdrive to can read the thumbdrive bcos they are running on Vista ?

In case you don't know how, open Disk Utility and select the thumbdrive.

Click on "Partition" and change "Current" to "1 Partition".

Change Format to "Mac OS Extended".

Click the Options button and select "GUID Partition Table".

Click Apply and wait a few seconds for the formatting to be completed.

Prescience is a gift I am blessed with!

I gave someone a USB 2.0 memory stick formatted forMac OS Extended and they could not use it on a Windows PC until I had reformatted it to MS-DOS FAT using the Master Boot Record partitioning scheme, which is what your drive will have currently.

So you will have to keep it as it is.

You will need to split your video into 4GB sections before you put it on.

If you do reformat it, you simply copy the contents to your HD first and then later copy them back . . . . you don't need another.

I set it to exFat and it works on the Vista too, amazing stuff !
