I'd like to download this app...

Dear Apple,

As I was browsing through the Appstore lately, I came across this app that I wanted to download. When trying to do so, the Appstore told me that I needed to update to 4.2, before being able to download and install this app.

Being slightly annoyed by this, I connected my iPhone to my laptop. I opened iTunes and told it that I'd like to update my iPhone to the newest iOS. iTunes then tells me that I need to download the newest iTunes version first! So I let it download the full 100 mb, including QuickTime things that I don't know about, and let it install. Having done this, I need to restart my computer!

After minutes of waiting (my laptop isn't as fast as you'd expect..), I managed to open iTunes again. The program now tells me I can update to the newest iOS, which I try, but it first needs to create a back-up, sync my apps and finally I can download 4.2, which takes quite long, before it can install the OS onto my device.

I've also noticed that it takes me a lot of effort to even put new music on my iPhone..

Why is it so hard to just sync my iPhone to my computer and do as I want? I want to be able to drag and drop music and apps and programs to or from my device! Apple, I truly believe that this is a great fail in your cycle of devices!

Regards

iPhone 3GS, iOS 4

With all due respect, don't you think that is a little bit narrow minded? I am just curious for other user experiences, maybe feedback on how to syncronize more easily.

You have iPhone users here. The people that help answer questions are not just users but people that appreciate the phone and want to help others appreciate the phone. I was a Windows Smartphone User up to a few years ago and switched to the iPhone, however I did as most people should, I researched the iPhone and had to decide if it was right for me... I did something strange, I read reviews and manuals online.. hmmmm.. so I made (get this) an informed decision.

If you purchased on a whim and the phone is not right for you, do what others said above, sell it and find the perfect (good luck) phone.
